Confidence in Shape

Remaking of one of Stephane Rolland's couture designs to learn couture, draping, and pattern-making techniques of the process: inspired shapes that translats into a dynamic silhouette and texture with a sculptural form using more than 32 yards of fabric that translated into 52 panels of irregular pleats.

Construction

Organza bodice and silk faille skirt

52 Panels of irregular crocked pleats from 32 yards of silk satin mounted on a mermaid shaped silhouette

Edges of the pleated panels finished by overlocking with wooly nylon

Gathered 12 Yards of tulle constructed with 3 Rows of 6" Horsehair for Under Construction

Hems and seams all finished with bias tape
